[SMM Hydrogen Energy Policy Express] Hebei province: The Development and Reform Commission Issues Notice on Several Refined Measures to Promote the Development of the Private Economy in the Energy Sector

On June 6, the Development and Reform Commission of Hebei Province issued a notice on several detailed measures to promote the development of the private economy in the energy sector.

The notice stated that private enterprises are encouraged to invest in and construct new-type energy storage projects. They are encouraged to actively participate in the construction of new-type energy storage projects, leverage their resource and technological advantages, and actively explore diversified development paths for new-type energy storage, such as compressed air energy storage, flow batteries, and hydrogen energy storage. Support is provided for private enterprises to construct industrial and commercial ESS to reduce electricity costs.

Support and guide private enterprises in achieving high-quality development. Private enterprises are encouraged to base themselves on their actual situations and collaborate with universities, research institutes, and other entities to jointly tackle key technological challenges. Efforts should be made to strengthen innovation in core technologies in areas such as wind power, PV, new-type energy storage, hydrogen energy, and gas turbines, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. Support is provided for private enterprises to actively participate in energy cooperation under the framework of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. Private enterprises are encouraged to actively participate in the national green electricity market transactions.
